Picked this up with my dad a month or two ago, did some ignition and fueling work to it. It’s running and driving now, just a few quirks to work out still. Here she is in her first car show:

It was a local show and free to enter. I didn’t plan on putting it in but they asked me to when I parked it in the normal parking area.

Here she is at home in her spot for now:

I’m hoping to complete the Direct Fire HEI conversion for the leading ignition by the end of the week. I met a fellow enthusiast at a Mazda meet Sunday that has some spare carbs so I can rebuild one while I still drive it.

I got a slightly better camera on this phone so hopefully my photos will be better!

Nice, I loved my RX-7. But had to sell it as I needed a car for work, and it was not reliable enough for the 8,000 miles a month I was driving. Yours looks like a very nice example, well taken car of.

I looked up louvers for the car, they just don’t quite work well with the split windows.

It seems so, the people who had it briefly before me didn’t know much about it and did some bad things with the idle and throttle adjustments. I’m working on correcting them. So far so good. That’s a lot of miles, puts my 15k a year to shame!

Yeah, my ‘88 323 GTX is 4x114 too. It’s a tricky pattern to find good wheels for.

I guess the 80's supra had the same pattern. Have you looked into Ronal wheels? I might have entertained the idea of Ronal teddy bears on a festiva or two.

They seem to be a fan favorite and are remembered fondly. They aren’t that expensive right now if you can find a good one that hasn’t been swapped.

I look forward to getting mine running that well! It pulls for days when it’s choked slightly. I’m guessing the carb is varnished from the ethanol fuel and it’s running lean on me.

I saw a set of those on a gold FC RX7 at the car meet Sunday. They were nice. The polished lip might be a bit much for me, but to each their own.
